~ (pg 1) Oh man, that's one of the coolest title pictures I've ever seen! ♥_♥ The title scares me, though. ó_ò

~ (pg 2) Sasuke looks horrified.

~ (pg 3) That line about Sasuke's father . . . for some reason, it makes me wonder if Sasuke is horrified at the coup d'etat or at Konoha and/or Itachi or whatever. I'm just wondering why he's so shocked. (It's probably just because he had no idea of what had been happening while he was around.)
~ Okay, I'm confused. I thought last chapter said that Konoha meant to plant Itachi as a spy on Uchiha. Now it's the other way around. Is something lost in translation? Or is it a Snape issue (pretending to spy on one, while really spying on the other)? õ_õ
~ So he is Snape'd (as one of my friends put it). ^_^ I kind of like that bottom panel of Itachi looking kind of sad. ♥

~ (pg 4) Kinda figured the clan would come first for Sasuke. (Actually, he just wants to get things clear in his head, I think. But he's got that prideful anger of a clan member.)
~ Whoa. "You haven't seen war . . . so you can't understand." Wow. . . . (What's with the gloomy look, Tobi?)
~ Oh, you have got to be kidding me. The ages never fail to make my eyes bug out and my jaw hit the floor. O___O
~ I like that description of Itachi.

~ (pg 5) . . . I'm having mixed thoughts on Itachi. I kinda believe it . . . and I kinda don't. õ_ô

~ (pg 6) Sasuke looks like he's about to cry. ó_ò

~ (pg 7) . . . I wonder if Sasuke's upset because he was mistaken. Maybe not totally about Itachi (I'm going to think about this later), but about the clan? . . . Is his self-esteem going to crash again here? ó_ò

~ (pg 8) I'm still more inclined to think that Konoha might've been in the wrong in the first place to be so discriminating. At the same time, the reason of preventing civil war makes sense to me . . . but they still shouldn't've been discriminating the Uchiha.
~ What is it with this guy and his masks?

~ (pg 8-9) Whoa, I absolutely love the transition: Itachi closing his eyes in resignation . . . and then opening them with dead determination. (*awed*) VERY nicely done, if you ask me.

~ (pg 10) O.O This chapter has a very slow build of drama! It's amazing!!

~ (pg 11) . . . All the shit happens to him and the people surrounding him. ó_ò
He looks utterly torn.

~ (pg 15) I figured that was why Itachi told Sasuke to do that.
~ I think begging the Hokage not to tell Sasuke the truth was a mistake; I mean, it was with good intentions, but the wrong thing to do.
~ Do you think Sasuke's going to cry soon? ó_ò

~ (pg 16) He's muttering "lies."

~ . . . Fuck. He looks like he's about to go utterly insane. Edit for hindsight, 5-16-08, 5:14pm: Interesting how Madara's still wearing that mask; Sasuke can't read his expressions, so he could very well be lying. He's proven he's a good actor with the Tobi-personality and the Madara-personality. I'm not saying he has a split-personality thing going on, just that he's a really good actor. Also, supposing that this story is true . . . still, why did Itachi torture Sasuke like that? I mean, gawd. o_o; I dunno, something seems off. There's something I'm missing here. =/ I'll probably add more later.

Yup, it's that time again. Here goes.

~ Interesting rivalry. I wonder if they personally liked to fight against each other or if one would hire Senju and the other hired Uchiha simply because of having the best chance against them. . . . I guess in those times there wasn't much friendships between different clans, so it was all just business for them. Nothing personal.

~ Curious about Sasuke remembering his brother's words.

~ "To protect them?" Sasuke's probably wondering vaguely, Is this story ever going to stop twisting and turning? Cuz that's what I'm thinking. I don't feel confused, but things keep going one way then going another.
Also, page 3, I like Sasuke's expression when he says that; he looks kind of wearily focused.

~ "The more famous we grew, the more enemies we made." I guess that's only to be expected in that world.

~ Huh?? Madara's bro agreed? õ.õ (The secrets and twists never quit, do they? Jeez.)

~ Heheheh, I loooove the look Sasuke's giving Madara at that bit of news. He's totally suspicious, calculating. Sasuke, I luuuuuuv yeeeeewww. ♥ ♥ ♥ (Sorry, can't help it.)

~ (pg 5) Okay, so it was a little personal after all. Ah well. (Still love Sasuke's calculating look; I can just see the wheels turning slowly in his mind, bless him. ♥)

~ So Madara's pretty arrogant about his clan. . . . That figures; they usually appear to be pretty arrogant. This guy, though, seems to go waaay beyond just "That's right, I'm part of that super awesome clan." He seems to want to really impress his power upon other people.

~ (pg 9) "They say I was moved by my own desire for power." I haven't thought much on it yet, but so far from what I've just heard, I'd say they're right (I wonder if another secret twist is going to come out later about that. 9_9)

~ (!!!) "What man would willingly harm his own little brother? I just . . . wanted to protect Uchiha, that's all!" Whoa. O_O; His first sentence: good, that shows a good heart. The second sentence: uh-uh, that indicates twistedness. That seems to indicate that he deluded himself that his little brother willingly helped. One of those sickos. Yikes. This guy . . . nuts.

~ (pg 10) HELL YEAH! Awesome picture! =DDD

~ (!) "Bent on revenge, I challenged Konohagakure." I wonder if that'll have an effect on Sasuke.

~ (still on pg 10) So this is probably the creation of the Valley of the End.

~ So the Second Hokage "gave Uchiha a special position as a sign of trust," "to make sure another traitor like [Madara] never arose." Hmm, interesting. Literally, that's probably not "trust". It sounds more like he wants to keep a closer eye on the clan, or possibly flatter them into not wanting to attack Konoha. Manipulation.

~ . . . And now I read page 13. Heh. I'm so proud. ^_^

~ (!) (still on pg 13) Those looks in the panel that says, "Some of the Uchiha realized what was going on. Some rebels began to follow in my footsteps." Their looks remind me a lot of the expressions from chapter 222, page 9, last panel.

~ (??) So . . . Madara didn't summon the fox to attack Konoha? Or is he lying? õ.õ (I love that classic picture of the Kyuubi, though. =])

~ If it was a natural disaster . . . that's kind of sad, because it could've been an accident that was taken too seriously.

~Oh, so the Third was vetoed by the other parties. Interesting.

~ Hah! So there was a plan of rebellion after all! I got that right! (Though my ideas were a little . . . compressed. I originally thought that the rebellion was because of something malicious (not a desire for power per se, but something like that). It turned out that there was a desire for power long ago but it waned, and the rebellion was because they wanted to change things (. . . maybe).)

~ Whoa, double-exclamation + question mark. That surprised him. (Apparently.)

~ Hmmm . . . curious. õ.õ

I'm really curious about whether Sasuke will choose a side later on. I mean, neither side is totally black vs. white, they both have their mixtures. But I've heard so much that make me want to go one way, then something that makes me want to go the other, then yet another thing that makes me want to go back . . . I kind of wonder if this chapter should be known as "Pendulum".
Of course, Sasuke could probably come up with something on his own. As my friend senior_witch mentioned to me in a discussion:

I'm in the middle of finals. I've got four coming up: Multimedia, Mythology, Speech, and Anthropology.

Anthropology I'm not too worried on.

Mythology . . . maybe. I gotta review a lot.

Speech . . . yikes. I might do OK on the final, but I might fail anyways due to my not getting stuff in during the semester.

Multimedia . . . AAAH! That's what I like to do most, and it's the most complicated, so why the hell haven't I started working on it yet?!? I keep wasting time! O_O;;;

(*sigh*) Sometimes I really hate this ADD. T_T (Yeah, I know, I shouldn't blame it solely on that, but . . . well. I'm feeling sorry for myself. Sue me.)

Furthermore, I'm in the middle of moving, so I'm going through some withdrawal from not being able to do some of my computer routines, because I have to help pack and move stuff. DX I don't have a computer at home, and there's a lot I do, so that's why I have such a schedule with it. (The computer's practically my life.)

I am a member of Y!Gallery. And I'm not complaining about this part of being on it, but it does not allow Anthropomorphic art on there, sexual or otherwise.

Does anyone know of a site that does allow Anthropomorphic fanart? Sexual and/or otherwise?

I ask this because I read Naruto and there are easily some parts and ideas that could be easily imagined as Anthropomorphic.

Also, if none of you who see this know an answer, could you maybe ask around? Please? I'd appreciate it.

He's real easy-going, and he's not picky about whether homework is typed or not, so long as he can read it. (Cuz usually teachers, want "2 pages, 12-point font, double-spaced, # paragraphs, with [insert words] as a heading, etc, etc." Not with my Anthropology teacher. He was cool about how long it took for us to get our textbooks earlier in the semester as well (he knows students have it rough, so he makes it as easy as he can -- seriously).

Last week, I was flipping through my bag again and again trying to find the notebook that had my Anthropology homework in it . . . and eventually admitted the sad truth that I left that particular notebook at home. So I asked him if I could turn it in late the next class. His reply (said in kind of a slow, thoughtful way):

"Yyyyyes, you can . . . . . . but if you do . . . . . . . . then you have to admit . . . that you're not perfect."

(*snicker*) He's always saying stuff like that. XDDD

Anyways, why do I bring this up now? Because today he handed out a packet of about 15 pages of fill-in-the-blanks and spaces for drawing diagrams. The first thing we did was turn to the very last page to draw a rough map of an area with several different Hopi villages. . . . The next thing we did was turn to the second-to-last page to draw a rough diagram of one of those villages. . . . After that, he handed something else out that showed a pre-made blueprint of a house in a village.

I'm sure you noticed the pattern, cuz I did. I mentioned it to him: "Working our way backwards, eh?" And his reply (I love this line) was:

"Well, the first responsibility of the teacher is to confuse the student."

XDDDD I wasn't confused, but I very well could've been if I hadn't been paying attention, but do you ever feel this way in a class? Just goes to show that this guy knows how to look at other POVs. ^^

Do you have any secret behind your username (that you're willing to share)? Sometimes I find usernames that are silly, interesting, unusual, casual, etc. Some usernames are a little obvious, like they would have the name of someone's favorite character, like I-luv-Sasuke or XItaxNarux18X (I haven't seen any of these names, I don't even know if they exist, but I have seen similar names); those are fairly obvious (though I have no clue as to what the number could be).

On the other hand, I find names like (and these names do exist) askerian, Mijare, zrina, or my own name garmiet. And I often wonder what the secret behind those names are.

So if you're willing to share your secret . . . I'm all ears. ^_^

Well, I suppose it's only fair. (XD)

The honest truth is that I'm not sure where the name came from. It just popped into my head. However, I think it came from the shampoo commercials that I see on TV a lot: Garnier Fructis (pronounced GAR-nee-ay FROOK-teess). And the sound stuck in my head (I pronounce it the same way, except with an "M" instead of an "N"). As for why I chose to end it with a "t" instead of an "r", I just thought it looked interesting. And if I like to use the name Garmiet as part of a full name, my alias would be Juno Garmiet (cuz I like the name Juno). So yeah, those of you who didn't know I was a girl (it was obvious anyway) are now aware that I am, indeed, una femmina. ^_^;

So, when I get really into something, I like to make connections/comparisons/contrasts/etc.

I used to watch the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I hadn't seen all the episodes, but I've read some summaries of some of them. One of the episodes in which this is the case would be one from . . . either season 3 or season 4. It's called "The Wish," and it's when we meet Anya (then Anyanka) the Vengeance Demon. Although I haven't seen that particular episode, I have seen other vengeance demon episodes from the series.

Now, as you all know, I'm obsessed with Naruto, namely the character Sasuke. The Avenger. And seeing his grotesque CS2 form (which I love so much), I of course can't help but imagine what he'd be like as a vengeance demon in some AU or something.

I know the vengeance demons of BtVS don't look like Sasuke's form, but still; transformation, you know. ^^;

Fanfic pairing

I might start writing my own fanfic soon, *squeeeee!*. XD

It's nothing super-major, just a would-be PWP oneshot (because there's a smidgen of a point). I have a general idea of what I'm going for, but I'm still deciding on the pairing.

These are the possibilities. It has to be one of these with those designated roles, because of the smidgen of plot I'm going to add. I'll probably just decide on my own which one, but other opinions couldn't hurt, so here's a poll.

I might not do the Sai x Sasuke or one of the Uchihacest ones, because someone just made a couple of doujinshi that are a little similar. (I'm not stealing their ideas, it's just that the ideas are kind of close.) I put them up there anyway, just in case.

Also, not many people Watch me, so if anyone who comes here could alert their friends who might like to vote, that'd be great.

Edit 5-1-08: I've decided the pairing will be Naruto x Sasuke. It's just easier for me. I had a feeling from the start that I might choose them anyway, but I wasn't positive. This is going to be my very first fanfic, after all.

~ What Hinata’s been up to (we haven’t seen her do much yet. Has she got any new techniques? How’s her situation with her family?)

I finished reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire this weekend. It was really good. I'm going to start rereading it, because some of the politics in it were confusing, and also some of the characters motives for doing things. But it's a really good read.

I have not seen the musical, but I have listened to the soundtrack and flipped through a book about it. It seems very different from the novel, not as serious or dark, but a good production all the same. The songs are excellent. The soundtrack is on my wishlist now. I simply must have it. ^_^

Idina Menzel has a kick-ass voice, it's awesome. She was amazing in Rent. Kristen Chenoweth has a hideous voice that makes me wanna shoot myself, but I've grown accustomed to it, and now I find it very comical for her role. And yet, it's truly amazing how she can sing like a mockingbird in the first song "No One Mourns The Wicked." The thing is, though, is apparently the voice she uses most of the time is real. Either that, or she just turns it on whenever there's a microphone around, because everywhere I've heard her talk, it sounds like that, and I'm like, "Aaargh!" But, like I said, I've grown accustomed to her singing on the soundtrack (although I have to grit my teeth somewhat when I'm listening to "Popular"). DX

So far my favorite songs (not in any order) are:

"No One Mourns the Wicked" (entertaining)
"The Wizard and I" (cool)
"What Is This Feeling?" (fun!)
"I'm Not That Girl" (pretty)
"Defying Gravity" (awesome; probably my second-favorite)
"No Good Deed" (dramatic and awesome! My favorite!)

It's too bad I can't find a karaoke for "What is this Feeling?" because that would make a great scene to do for a variety show.

So far, the only thing that might bum me out about the play is Fiyero. They've compressed a lot (which makes sense, they can only do so much), but one of the compressions sounds really extreme: Combining Fiyero with Avaric. In the book, Fiyero's this nice foreign prince of a tribe from another country, and he acts really polite, shy and formal, just trying to fit in with the natives; Avaric is some wealthy ne'er-do-well guy with very philandering ways -- he hits on the girls a lot, goes to kinky sex clubs, and makes racist comments in public (racist towards Fiyero). So the play combined them, and what do we get? A ne'er-do-well Fiyero who's always dropping/getting kicked out of schools for screwing around, and is totally shallow. I mean, what the hell! They might as well have kept Avaric and gotten rid of Fiyero! Only then, they would've had to stick Elphie with a new boyfriend (but that's been done before too).

Other than that, though, the musical seems like a performance worth seeing, and I hope to see it one of these days.

For those of you who haven't heard the music and are curious, don't let Kristen Chenoweth's voice discourage you. It almost discouraged me, but it was worth it, and I even came to enjoy it. But I suggest holding off on listening to "Popular" until you've gotten used to it, otherwise you'll be going, "Aargh, my ears!" XD;

Sometimes I wish I weren't as sensitive as I am.

The first manga I ever read was Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi. I was obsessed with it the way I am obsessed with Naruto right now. And my favorite character in it right now (though I wasn't sure who my favorite character was then) is one girl that a lot of people hate or love: Nabiki. She's so obsessed with money, which is her first love. She won't do a single thing for a person unless she benefits from it, so I kind of admire her. As with a lot of my favorite characters, I would hate to meet her in real life as well as hate her as well, but as someone on my f-list has said to me (not in quite these words): "They're meant to be in fiction, and it's safe to like them there." (I can't remember what she said exactly, but I got the gist of it.) Anyways, I like Nabiki, and I often wish I had her type of control.

Before I start reading the chapter, I was talking to a friend of mine on the phone last night. And he said, laughing, "If Tobi turns out to be Itachi, I'm going to laugh my fucking ass off." I put that up here now, because it could very well be the last chance for theories on this matter. Either way, it was really funny when he said that. ^^

Okay, now on with the chapter!

~ KNEW it! Sasuke's got the Mangekyou! Knew he would get that from the experience of offing his brother! (Okay, I didn't know it, but the possibility was strong in my mind.)
~ Whoa, he's not feeling too well, is he? He kinda reminds me of that crazed state where you just get hostile with anyone. True this guy's got the Sharingan, and that's a major possibility that he's the other guy that Sasuke's after, but for Sasuke to react this quickly. . . . Actually, that might be so unusual, but it's interesting anyway. (I have no clue what I'm trying to say here. *sweat*)
~ Must say it: Sasuke looks gorgeous, even when he's in pain sometimes. <3 (Sorry to some of the Sasuke-fans out there. I love him too, but I can't resist.)
~ Oooooh, cool reaction. "What . . . the hell . . . was that?" Another idea I've had in the past (mostly for fanfiction) is that when the Mangekyou awakens for the first time, you have trouble controlling it. And it seems to have caught Sasuke off guard. I wonder what the pain must feel like. Migraines maybe?
~ (!!!) Wha?! Huh?! Tobi's line! : "The Amaterasu that Itachi implanted into you." O.O Now he's REALLY got my attention, big-time! O.O
~ Heheh, he's putting the mask back on. XD Is the secret really so great, Tobi?
~ You know, someone else had the theory, "What if that forehead poke was really a jutsu?" I think they were half-joking, half-serious. Well, what do you know. My compliments to you out there who thought of that! =D (I forget your name, sorry.)
~ (*giggle*) "It was . . ." Full-page. Must be something big. Of course, that'd be funny if it was something little, it'd make all the readers just fall off their chairs like, "WTF?"
~ . . . . . . . . . Holy . . . what? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Wow. Good job, Kishimoto. You've managed to disintegrate that idea in me in the past. It's occurred to me before, but after so many chapters I thought, "Naaahhhh, no way." Wow. I mean . . . wow.
~ Tobi: "I see talking with you is going to be difficult." Uh, yeah. Even without your reasoning, Tobi, anybody else who's encountered Sasuke could've told you that much. ^^
~ Sasuke looks like he can't take much more of this.
~ I like Sasuke's reaction. His family met so much to him all his life, and the people he keeps meeting, and the more he keeps learning about his family is just tearing him apart. I've probably said this quote before, but I'll say it again:

I gotta say, though: this scene is going to make the Sasuke-haters out there smirk "knowingly," which is really sad.

Just a little note about my thoughts on the chapters: I know they often sound goofy. That's because I try to keep a positive mind. Also, writing my thoughts down as I think them helps me stay that way. Otherwise I get too serious, and I could be depressed for a few days. Try to keep a positive attitude, you know. ^_^

Also, if anyone feels disappointed in this chapter, I don't want to hear about it. I've heard way too much of it lately about the manga itself, that I'm sick of it. Personally, I'm enjoying the show. (This paragraph may be uncalled-for, but I get the feeling there's going to be a lot of those feelings incoming, sad to say. So I'm putting my guard up ahead of time.)

Edit: I changed my mind, a little. I think I was in a little denial when I posted that last paragraph about 20 minutes ago. Really, thinking back on the chapter, it is kinda silly. I hoped to never, ever think or say something like this about the story Naruto, but . . . it is kinda weird. I hope to God there's going to be a good explanation for all of this; I think I was more comfortable thinking of Itachi as an evil character.
But people, please try to keep the criticisms and bashing down to a minimum in here; I still adore the story a lot and am not ready to hear too many words against it. If anything, let's try to laugh about it and get our intrigue up. ^_^;;;;;
Actually, I'm kind of hoping that Itachi will still turn out to be nuts. Maybe both he and Madara are deluded and corrupt. . . . Yeah, I'm kinda hoping that Itachi won't be a saint. (Sorry to all the Itachi-fans out there; I like him too, but I like the bad version of him.) It might also be kind of interesting if he had good ideas in the beginning and then his morals got corrupted. You know, like he crossed lines he never wanted to cross and slowly deteriorated or something. Or instead, his idea of "protect the shinobi world and the Leaf Village" isn 't as noble as it sounds. I don't know how that could be, but it'd be interesting to find out.
After all this, I wouldn't be surprised if Sasuke thought, "To hell with my clan." Maybe some experience in this could turn him back to Konoha and Naruto and Sakura. The way things are looking, they were a lot more honest with him than his clan had been (this is just speculation and guesswork about his clan, obviously).

I haven't been watching the anime of Naruto: Shippuuden lately, because I wanted to wait for the manga business with Sasuke to end (since the anime was apparently at a rough time for me). So the lists I've been adding to have reached the numbers 365 and 180 (and I'm writing this entry in a break of adding to the list). The first list is the one that's growing faster than I thought it would. So how do I fix it? By making yet another list (right now I have a total of 6 lists, so the next one will be 7); I noticed that a lot of the stories I've been adding to the lists have a common aspect, so I'll be sticking some of those stories under that one instead.

It may not sound like a big deal, but I'm kind of a list fanatic. I like lists, so it's a big organizational problem of trying to remember which titles fall under the category. >_< Also, I like to save fics to my computer so I can read them on my own time and I don't have to worry about having to find them again when someone changes their penname or if I just have a hard time finding the stories. And while I have a lot of computer time (sort of), I don't always have internet, so this way I can read the stories if there's no internet available. ^_^ Now that I'm making another list, I'm gonna have to move a bunch of them and change their numbers to keep them in order. x_x My work is never done!! (Yeah, that's work to me.)

The current numbers, by the way, are: 15 73 70 76 365 and 180. There used to be categories for each, but they got muddied, so that's why I only add to the last two; the rest is pretty much fixed (unless they go down as I read each story). I noticed too late that I slipped something that could have its own category into the big list.
And for anyone who's interested, the first number is small because that's the list I'm currently going through. Originally it was 52, but now I've read a lot of those stories. ^_^

. . . . This is why I don't do drugs or alcohol or smoking: I get easily addicted to stuff as it is -- junk food, reading, fanfiction, manga, computers, typing, internet, soda pop, chocolate, Naruto, lists . . . I'm a danger to myself (I'm currently snacking on pretzels and have almost finished the whole bag).

Since January, I started making a list of fanfiction I wanted to read. Actually, several lists. And I've been slowly making my way through them one by one. The problem is that every time a new fic comes up, I add it to the lists.

But that's not why it's hopeless. The reason why it feels hopeless is that my interests in fanfiction have expanded just slightly (yeah, right), and I've been adding every fic I can under those categories to my lists.

So, how long are my lists right now? Well, the one I'm reading right now has only 15 stories left. Then after that there's one that's 73 stories, then 70, then 76. Those are the locked ones. The remaining two lists are ever-growing: 276 currently, and 160 also currently. There used to be general topics for each list, but I didn't want to add to earlier ones to delay the later ones, so the last two are the ones that get all the stuff I discover.

I thought I was pretty much done finding stories on AFF -- old ones, I mean, cuz new stuff comes in all the time, but I was pretty much up-to-date on all that -- but now I started looking at ff.net, and whoo boy, there's a lot! O.O

So . . . think my obsession with Naruto will last till I get through this list? I know the list will never be finished since new stuff is written all the time, but I'm also thinking about the old and abandoned stories and all that stuff.

You might also wonder why I'm so into fanfiction. Well, despite my fixation on something, it only lasts so long before it gets old. The thing is, I'm usually not ready to let it go for a while and branch into other stuff (though I'm having an easier time of that now, thanks to fanfiction). At the same time, it feels like I'm locked up in a room for months when all you can think about is Naruto, you know? So I expand my range of interests in that room. It turns the Naruto-room into a Naruto-mansion or -town or something. A town in which I'm a tourist who wants to take pictures of every single little thing.
(Of course, right now, I'm purely investigating the Red Light districts and the surrounding areas, but it's fun.) ;>_>

The list will probably only continue to grow and never diminish (like for every 1 I read, about 50 more come in), but it's a fight I'm willing to go down in at the moment! ^_^

This part will be updates on the last two lists. Numbers, I mean. ^.^;
